Services
During your prenatal period we will meet and discuss your birth plan preferences, feeding goals, and what postpartum may look like. Prior to 38 weeks your doula is available for phone and text support.
Starting at 38 weeks your doula is on-call for your birth. Your doula will come to your birth when you are ready for your doula to join. During birth, your doula will provide emotional and physical support for you and your partner. This includes position changing, encouraging movement, and encouraging you to advocate for your birth wishes. After your birth, your doula will stay with you one to two hours, make sure you are comfortable and tuck you in.
Your doula will follow up with a postpartum visit to provide feeding support, emotional support, and to discuss how you felt your birth went. Your doula will be glad to provide any community referrals that you may request or need.
Postpartum services are available immediately after birth. Typically your doula will want to chat with you and those you share your home with to determine what services may be needed.
Services can include feeding assistance, light house-keeping, or errand running. We would be glad to listen to your birth story and provide any emotional support you may need. We believe that you may need assistance but we also want to get you to the point of being independent on yourself and your support system.
Postpartum services start at $25/hour, additional fees may be involved depending on distance or services selected. Discounts are available if purchasing multiple hours or paying in full.
